Sick to the power of rad

Ok so I have a confession to make - I am completely rubbish at doing outfit shots. I hate annoying my boyfriend by asking him to take pics of me, and never get the time to do them on my own. So you get another outfit layout - I hope you don't mind. This was easter Thursday evening - for dinner that somehow turned into a rooftop allnighter (argh). Tried not to look like too much of a hipster-cool-kid-wannabe with all sorts of shit going on but it was hard...
sequin short with ribbon belt designed by me, denim waistcoat from a thrift shop in north london (missing a button... sad face), sheer white tee from a random japanese brand, Nars laguna bronzer, mango bootines, awang pouchette.

Shiny and Bright

Gala, you have inspired me to get a pair of rough sequin shorts like these made next time I am in Shenzen (the list for trip number 3 is growing verrrry long!). At least now I know what I am going to get made out of the racks and racks of sequins. I am also endeavoring to make your amazing spiked belt.
I am also addicted to these amazingggg silver sequin pants below. They definitely make the list also.

DIY Embellished Knickers

I'm sure you've seen these type of embellished knickers before, but this picture has particularly inspired me to make some of my own - I am thinking maybe for swimwear. Buy some high waisted knickers or bikini bottoms, attach some half moon shaped fabric at the hips like below, embellishing with different coloured sequins, studs, buttons or even fringing. For the half moon shapes use leather or another stiff fabric to get the required amount of definition at the hips.

DIY Inspiration - Mini / Maxi Dress

Party at the front / business at the back? Since I posted here about the super cool update Jazzi McG did to her maxi dress, I have been obsessed with this hem style - mini at the front and maxi at the back. You would probably feel like princess with a long train (but not as long as Princess Di's), in a good way. Apparently Aussie designers Aje thought of it a while ago... Such an easy way to update your maxi dress.
