This spike stud is such a simple addition to an otherwise cute bow tie, with a really edgy affect. Love! Thanks to Shini of Park and Cube for the pics.

DIY Fabric Bow
This is a slightly bolder take on the more feminine velvet bow, the big fabric bow. I am in love. So easy to do yourself too!

DIY Leather Shorts and Velvet Bow
Thought I would show you the DIY outfit I wore this weekend. Remember these leather shorts I made when I was living in London? Well when I made them out of a pair of trousers I just rolled the hems up. I never really wore them though, something about the rolled hems put me off. I was going to sell them off as part of a re-cull of my wardrobe, but realised I could glue the hems over like I did recently to a pair of tan trousers. To do this I simply folded the hem over, ironed it down, checked it was straight and then used some superglue to glue the edges. Easy! And they look perfect. So happy to have rejuvenated them. Also hope you like the little velvet bow that I wore with my thrifted collared shirt. A bit Jason Wu no?
Wearing: Vintage collar shirt, DIY velvet bow tie, DIY leather shorts, Zara wedges (I wear these alll the time).

DIY Spotted Cullotes
Jessie of The Velvet Bow continues to delight me with her amazing DIYs, I was obsessed with her pink scalloped DIY shorts she recently sold and now these have me enchanted all over again. I must say she definitely knows her way around a bum covering! I love this type of DIY so much, recycling something that didn't appear to have any potential into something amazing. If you haven't DIYed yourself some shorts out of a pair of pants or trousers, get down to your local thrift shop and get amongst it. Jessie cut hers off and then used a sewing machine (and created a gorgeous wavy hem) but you can always hand stitch. Isn't the bow she sewed for the waist tie from the scraps just too cute?
DIY bow top
One of my favourite DIY bloggers, Phosphene Fashion, has done a collaboration with the amazing online store M&J Trimmings (the only place to buy all your DIY bits and bobs online). I am soooo in love with the top, the bow and the nailhead studded collar. To. Die. For. A little bit of Jason Wu AW11 no? Head to M&J Trimmings blog for the tutorial - its well easy innit?
DIY Jason Wu AW11 with Peony and Michelle
Ummmm is it just me or has Peony Lim channeled the recent Jason Wu AW11 collection perfectly - only thing is I am pretty sure this image was taken by the beautiful and talented Michelle of Who is Bobb Parris a while before yesterdays show... talk about setting the trends! If you haven't seen Peony's blog head there now - I am sure we will be seeing lots of her in the coming weeks!

DIY Bodycon Collar Dress
If you're been tuning in here for a while then you'll know that I am addicted to collars. The shape of these little white Carven collars is perfect. DIY your own by cutting a collar off a thrifted shirt, or layering fitted collared shirts underneath bodycon dresses and round neck sweaters.

DIY Ribbon Cut Out Shirt Dress
Remember my post here about making a shirt dress from a thrifted men's shirt (cut off the sleeves, take in at the side seams and away you go)? Saw this dress from the recent Philip Lim show, so cute! Make a shirt dress as per my previous instructions, then cut out two panels at the front of your shirt dress like below, leaving the button strip attached - finally glue on two bows in the middle of the panels.

DIY Tassell Bowtie
Love the spanish feel of this look - and as usual have spied an easy DIY in the form of the tassell necklace worn like a bow tie. You local craft shop/market/curtain store should have something similar. Wear like a tie.

DIY Scarf Neck Bow
Very cute little bow tied out of a scarf in this pic taken by Vanessa Jackman. Insanely easy to do! The shade of navy is gorgeous especially matched with the pants and print in the tee.

DIY Ruby Side Bow Tank Top
New collection from New Zealand brand Ruby is lovely, think this white tank top (third outfit) with the bow at the side would be easy to DIY. Cut a white tank top all the way down both sides, tie a knot/bow at the bottom. Wear with gorgeous coloured lace triangle bra.

DIY Ribbon Suspenders
Wrap some ribbon around your waist like a belt and either tie in a bow at the back or stitch in place. Then measure and cut two pieces of ribbon to sit like suspenders. Sew onto the belt at the front and the back.

DIY Bow Headpiece
This rough oversized bow would be sooo easy to do yourself and would be a fantastic addition to your festival wardrobe. Take some creme sheer chiffon fabric and fold it into a rectangle (the more layers of folded fabric the thicker the bow will be) and then create the bow by tying the middle with a strip of ribbon or pink chiffon. SEcure to your head with bobby pins or a glued on comb.
