Sewing and shopping in Shenzen

Am organising a trip to head up to mainland China, namely Shenzen and a few other places. My friend here has told me about her tailor in the city (one of many) who can copy ANY item of clothing you want in any fabric that you choose. You either take her an item that you already own, or point to something in a magazine. She then takes you to choose the fabrics you want and the buttons etc, and whips it up in no time. Each item is said to come to the price of less than a takeaway lunch. Maybe I should start taking orders? There is also an amazing place in HK itself where you get any pair of shoes you like copied in different colours and textures for next to nothing.
