There really isn't anything tying these two images together except for boobs. So, boobs it is!

I guess I'm kind of stealing Fashion Indies "Fashion Porn" bit, but whatever.

ragamuffin

My latest style inspiration is Victorian/Fin de Siecla era street urchin wear a la "Newsies."

Hence why I just bought these granny jazz lace-ups off of eBay:

P.S. If I had a clothing line, I'd name it Ragamuffin. What do you think? Cute, huh?

top 10 pretty fall faces

Style.com named their favorite rising star models from fall 2009. This Dutch pretty little thing was number 9 on their list, but I think she should have been loser to number one.

free people peep toe shout-out

My new boss in the Forever 21 marketing department told me she saw the prism & the pendulum mentioned on Free People's blog. I didn't believe her until I checked their site just now. Alas! She was right! The lovely Free People folk did, in fact, mention this blog. It's some blog-on-blog lovin'.

Thanks for the shout-out Free People!

Here are a few more Free People items I desperately wish I could afford to put in my closet:

buckle wedges - $248, strappy boots - $108, sandals - $198

Siwy shredded jeans - $198

chain vest necklace - $58, studded tights - $88

givenchy cutout top

I love how warrior-like the back cutouts are.

It's March 26 and 67 degrees outside on the west side of Los Angeles. Thisssss is why I moved back to LA after living on the East Coast for five years.

A Charming Evolution

When Juli Grbac was 13, she sold boxer shorts and pencil cases to all her highschool friends. This is where her love affair with fashion began. Today, Juli Grbac (29), is a Brisbane Fashion Designer. Underneath her mothers house in Morooka, punctuated with piles of sketches, strips of fabrics and fashion magazines, Juli escapes into her collection of fanciful clothes and prints, armed with just a sowing machine and cutting cloth. She transforms her fabrics into beautifully embellished silk and satin garments. As the winner of project runway, the vivacious Grbac finally got her chance to unleash her shining talent at the Loreal Melbourne Fashion Festival. Julie's latest collection 'A Charming Evolution' features evening dresses, the colours silver and purple ruling the catwalk. The dresses boast of silk flowers of such natural and exquisite beauty, pierced with simple, sumptuous accessories.

What's next? The fashion world, will be buzzing, with Juli frolicking towards her lifelong dream, of stocking her label internationally.

cute ugly or ugly ugly?

I just saw these on ebay and I'm still forming an opinion:

If you like 'em and think you could pull them off (maybe in a creepers kind of a way?) get 'em fast. They're at $15 and bidding ends in 20 hours.

find-4-you

off to work she goes / etc photos

I'm pretty sure I start my new job on Monday, which has gotten me to thinking about work looks.

I love the way this girl seamlessly melds her laptop case in with her outfit:

And now, totally off topic...

I love the cape with the loose hood thing, very Robin Hood/X-Men's Rogue:

For a minute I thought this girl was trying to turn a Holocaust star into a fashion statement, then I counted the points on the star:

This look is just beyond awesome:

any outfit you can accessorize with a mule is fabulous.

feeling just a bit like a brit

Sorry I haven't posted in a long while. I've been feeling kind of melancholy these last few days (no particular reason). In order to cheer myself up today, I decided to look at pretty clothing on line that I'll hopefully be able to afford soon enough. I also thought that since I'm half-British and a Brit citizen, I'd pick some favorite items from two of England's top shopping destinations: TopShop and Miss Selfridge:
