Culling of my wardrobe has extended to culling of EVERYTHING else in my life. Moving to HK has allowed me to assess better what things I actually 'need' in my life, and as such I spent a few good hours on the weekend cleaning everything out and making piles of things to go to charity shops or be sold. My lovely friend has agreed to come to the Battersea Car Boot Sale this coming Sunday, where she will be selling her amazing chocolate cake and I will be selling my LIFE, including a giant suitcase full of books and another of clothes, shoes, bags etc. It is going to be completely hectic and possibly a bit feral but it is definitely something I need to experience before I leave London. Come on down for a rummage, or if you are keen to sell some stuff too, contact me - we operate a strictly 'the more the merrier' policy.
Also for sale, but not at the boot sale, my lovely red bike that I renovated at the beginning of summer. If you are interested, send me an email. Its pretty rickety so I'll be selling it for cheeeeap.

DIY - The Finished Product - Bike Stripping and Painting
Have already posted about the bike restoration that I undertook (with a significant amount of help from the bf) here and thought it was high time I posted some photos. The bike used to be a kind of blue colour with heaps of stickers on it so I think it looks pretty nice. Haven't actually ridden the bike yet - have found myself too hungover at all the recent appropriate moments. Any day now though. I am a bit concerned that there are a few bolts and screws left over from the dismantling of the bike though.
Hot girls on bicycles...
After the bike renovation that I've recently completed, have started seeing hot girls on bicycles everywhere I go. Can imagine it will only get worse when I go to stockholm next weekend.

DIY - Bike restoration update....
Spent all last weekend giving my bike a bit of love (what started off as love soon turned to hate). Was planning on a quick spraypaint over the top of the original paint.... hmm turns out that the bf likes to do things properly. 'Properly' involved a very windy and cold trip to homebase for supplies. Then the dismantling of the bike, removal of the stickers, sanding of the bike, painting of the bike with primer, waiting for the primer to dry, sanding the primer, and finally spraypainting the bike..... The final saga of bike 'love' will be played out this weekend when I do a second coat on the bike (I have been told this is a must), and then we put the bike back together (I use the term 'we' loosely). Currently part of the bike is on the front stairs (basket wheels etc), part of the bike is in the basement (frame, mud guards) and the other bits are in a shoe box in the living room (pedals, seat, random screws that we will no doubt forget to put back on and the bike will fall apart as I am riding down Upper Street). Now I know why there is such a market for cute bikes...its not easy!
